A father is a faithful provider

In word, in thought and deed,

Characterized not by a Macho image,

Capable of planting his seed.

But He who possesses qualities

Of the love commitment requires,

The beauty of his inward strength,

The hope his example inspires.

His focused vision is unity

That so many others resist

He could never abandon loved ones,

In pretense that they do not exist.

Not merely an authoritative figure,

There to maintain his strict rule.

But He demonstrates his philosophy

As a graduate of his own school.

With their hearts full of compassion

And their children always in mind,

Real fathers are made in the image

Of the father of all mankind.
